What to Look For

Chunkier than the Parker 61. Impressive slab-sided nib described as semi-flexible or soft. Wax seal under nib prone to deterioration. Sections susceptible to shrinkage. Vista Blue and Rage Red replaced by Dark Blue and Maroon in 1969.

The chunkier successor to the Parker 61, introduced in 1967 with an impressive semi-flexible slab-sided nib.1

Nib

The Parker 65’s standout feature is its “slab sided” nib — described by collectors as “semi flexible” or “soft.”1 It writes with a character that modern nibs can’t replicate.
