Waterman 92
What to Look For
Celluloid pen with #2 nib. Model number imprinted on barrel. The 92V is the vest-pocket (short) variant. Despite the '9' tens digit (theoretically safety), by the celluloid era this was applied to lever fillers. Snakeskin/lizard skin pattern variants are rare and collectible.
Waterman’s celluloid-era pen with a #2 nib — part of the same generation as the Patrician but at a more accessible price.1
Construction
A lever filler in celluloid with a #2 nib. Despite the “9” tens digit (which originally denoted safety pens), celluloid-era 92s are lever fillers — the numbering system had broken down by this era.2
Colors
Available in multiple celluloid colors: Black Pearl, Onyx, Turquoise, Moss Agate, Copper, and Mahogany.1 Snakeskin/lizard skin pattern variants are rare and collectible.3
92V
The vest-pocket (short) version, commonly sold paired with a 3V pencil.3
