What to Look For

Cone-cap eyedropper with #6 nib — an extra-large pen. In the 1919 catalog, the plain No. 16 sold for $6.00, with gold-mounted versions at $7.00 and sterling silver up to $11.00. A Canadian version with nickel trim is documented by the Peyton Street identifier. The safety pen version (16S) is rare. The 16 S.F. (sleeve filler, c. 1909-1917) is a pump-filling variant that predated the lever filler.

Variants

The 16 S.F. (sleeve filler, c. 1909-1917) used Waterman’s pump-filling mechanism — a precursor to the lever filler.2 Canadian production versions with nickel trim are documented by Peyton Street.3
