Named after founder Lewis Edson Waterman, the Edson is Waterman’s flagship pen — a large, premium writing instrument with translucent resin barrels and gold-plated caps.1

Design

The Edson features translucent acrylic resin barrels in matching colors with gold-plated caps.1 Converters come in matching colors — a detail that shows through the translucent barrel. The 18k gold nib is a generous size befitting the pen’s flagship status.

Colors

Original colors (1992): Sapphire (blue, the only ongoing color), Emerald (green, discontinued c. 1999), and Ruby (red, discontinued c. 1999).1 A black version with platinum-plated cap was added in 2007.1
