What to Look For

Medium-range pen with prominent black band between barrel and cap. Straight full-diameter section with ribbed grip. Two versions: squared clip (older, Laureat I) vs. rounded clip (newer, Laureat II). Reasonably similar to Le Man in profile. Resistant to damage.

Waterman’s medium-range pen from the 1980s-90s — reasonably similar to the Le Man in profile but more resistant to damage.1

Design

The Laureat features a prominent black band between barrel and cap, and a straight full-diameter section with ribbed grip portions.1 Lacquer over brass with gold-plated steel nibs.
